Pumpkin Dumplings with Garlic Sauce

These pumpkin dumplings are a great alternative to classic potato dumplings. Thanks to the pumpkin, they are incredibly tender, and serving with garlic sauce adds piquancy to the dish.

Ingredients

  • Pumpkin: 300 g
  • Egg: 1 pc.
  • Flour: 3 tbsp. l.
  • Salt: 0.5 tsp
  • Ground black pepper: a pinch
  • Seasoning for potatoes: to your taste
  • Sunflower oil: 4 tbsp. l.
  • Sour cream, yogurt, garlic sauce: for serving

Cooking pumpkin dumplings

Peel the pumpkin from the skin and pulp. Grate on a large grater, then transfer to a colander and squeeze out excess liquid so that the drumsticks do not spread during frying.

Add salt, egg, flour and spices to the pumpkin mass. Mix thoroughly to a homogeneous, thick consistency.

On a heated pan with oil, spread the drumsticks with a spoon. Fry for 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

In order to remove excess fat, lay out the finished dumplings on paper towels.
