This recipe will turn an ordinary dinner into a real celebration
Thanks to the bread and sour cream sauce, the rabbit meat becomes incredibly tender and juicy, and the aroma of thyme and white wine adds sophistication to the dish.
Ingredients
- Rabbit thigh on the bone: 2 pcs.
- Dried white bread: 2 slices Sour cream: 3–4 tbsp. l.
- White dry wine: 50 ml
- Olive oil: 2 tbsp. l.
- Garlic: 1 clove
- Onions: 1 pc.
- Fresh thyme: a few sprigs
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper: to your taste
Step-by-step preparation of rabbit in sour cream
Pour the bread with water. Fry the rabbit rings in olive oil until golden brown, then set aside on a plate.
In the same pan where the rabbit was fried, saute the finely chopped onion until transparent. Return the rabbit to the pan, pour in the wine and let it evaporate. Add a little water, add thyme, cover and simmer over low heat for 15-20 minutes.
Wring out the excess liquid from the bread, mix it with sour cream and mash with a fork until smooth. Salt, pepper and add the garlic passed through a press.
Add sour cream and bread mixture to the rabbit, mix and heat for another minute.
