Cranberry Sauce for Meat

Aromatic berry gravy that will emphasize the taste of meat dishes

Cranberry sauce is a classic addition to meat dishes that adds brightness and sophistication to them. Thanks to its sweet-sour taste and spicy spices, it goes well with poultry, pork or beef.

For cooking you will need:

  • 150 g of lingonberries (you can use frozen ones),
  • 50 ml of water,
  • 100 g of brown sugar,
  • a pinch of ground black pepper,
  • cinnamon stick,
  • two cloves.

How to prepare sauce for meat from lingonberry

Bring water with sugar and spices to a boil in a saucepan. Cook the mixture, stirring constantly, until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Then add the lingonberries, reduce the heat and cook for another 30 minutes until the sauce thickens. It should become saturated in color and have a thicker consistency.

Chill the prepared sauce before serving and serve with meat as a flavorful sauce. It is best to store it in a tightly closed container in the refrigerator for several days.
