Ingredients:
750 g of wheat flour
1 bag of dry yeast
350 g of water
1 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of liquid honey
poppy and sesame for sprinkling
a little vegetable oil
Preparation:
Step 1.
Pour all the dry ingredients into a bowl: flour, yeast, salt, mix the mixture thoroughly with a whisk, and then add honey and water at room temperature. Mix the dough with your hands on the table, make a lump, cover with a film and leave for 1-1.5 hours.
Step 2.
When the dough is ready, carefully knead it on the table. Turn on the oven and heat it to 240 degrees, the baking sheet should also be hot.
Step 3.
Divide the dough into approximately equal lumps. Put each lump of dough on a rolling pin (or any other object) so that a ring comes out.
Step 4.
Boil the water in a saucepan and drop the bagel rings into the boiling water so that the dough brews. Hold each bagel in the water for 30 seconds, flip and leave for another 30 seconds. Remove the dough from the water and place the bagels on a paper towel.
Step 5.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven, cover it with parchment. Pour the sesame mixture (or poppy seeds, or chopped nuts) onto a plate and dip each bagel in the seeds. Put the bagels on the parchment and send them to the oven for 10-15 minutes (make sure they don’t burn). Allow the bagels to cool before adding the filling.
While the bagels are baking, prepare the fillings for them. Here are some ideas for spreads:
grilled chicken kebab + pickled cucumbers+cream cheese+greens+pepper
dried tomatoes+cream cheese+fresh tomatoes
raspberry+date syrup+cheese cheese
lightly salted trout+cream cheese+greens
Delicious!
