Corn Buns with Cheese from a Georgian Relative – If You Like Khachapuri, You Will Definitely Like It

Corn buns with cheese – ingredients:

2 cups of corn flour

1 glass of milk

butter – 30 g

sugar – ½ teaspoon

mozzarella for pizza – 250 g

salt

By the way, you can use other cheese for corn buns, for example, suluguni or goat cheese.

Preparation:

Step 1.

Take the butter for cheese rolls out of the refrigerator 15-20 minutes before cooking. Sift the cornmeal into a bowl. Heat the milk (can be diluted with water) to 40-50 C, pour it into the flour, add soft butter, salt and sugar.

Step 2.

Knead the dough with your hands until smooth, if it is a little dry, add more liquid, it should be moist.

Step 3.

Cut mozzarella for corn buns into thick half circles, divide the dough into pieces. Flatten the dough in the palm of your hand and cover the cheese with it, you will get small cakes.

Step 4.

Fry the resulting buns with cheese in vegetable oil for 5 minutes on each side or bake in the oven at 180 C without oil at all. Serve hot!
