Pavash is a salvation for those who cannot knead the dough for a long time and wait for it to come together. And this pita pie is a win-win option, at least for the festive table, even for a quick dinner
Ingredients:
Armenian pita bread 2 sheets
minced beef 300 g
Dutch cheese 200 g
kefir for pita pie 500 ml
2 eggs
bundle of greenery
Preparation:
Step 1.
For a pita pie, mix two eggs with kefir with a fork. Pour a little kefir mixture into a baking dish and place a sheet of pita bread on it, so that its edges hang down from the dish.
Step 2.
Fry the minced beef and put it in a pita mold.
Step 3.
Tear the second sheet of pita bread into several pieces, dip each one in the kefir-egg mixture and lay them on top of the meat in an overlapping manner.
Step 4.
For the pita pie filling, grate the cheese, chop the greens and lay out the second layer. Cover the cheese with the hanging part of the first sheet of pita bread. Cover the formed holes with pieces of pita bread soaked in kefir. Pour the rest of the kefir and egg mixture over the cake.
Step 5.
Send the pita cake to the oven heated to 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes, until the pita is golden brown. When you take it out of the oven, give it another half hour to infuse and soak in moisture.
This pita pie can be made sweet by adding, for example, cheese and berries instead of meat to the filling.
Delicious!
